The effect of rehabilitation before and after lung transplantation from deceased donor in Japan

摘要：
We experienced pulmonary rehabilitation before and after the operation, and aimed to access the effects of rehabilitation and lung transplantation (LT) in 5 patients. We measured FVC, FEV1, 6-minutes walk distance and peak oxygen consumption. We also measured activity of daily living (ADL), sickness impact profile (SIP), and the State-trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) in 5 patients. Before LT, rehabilitation improved exercise tolerance and ADL. After LT, FVC, FEV1 and exercise tolerance significantly increased. SIP ameliorated to the level of unimpaired individuals in physical dimension. STAI did not significantly change. ADL showed tendencies to improve.
