摘要
Spatial variability of seismic ground motion is related to the difference in amplitude and phase of ground motion recorded over a given area. Spatial variability results from different contributions: the wave passage effect due to time delays in the arrival times of various seismic phases, the site response effect due to spatial soil heterogeneity, the attenuation along the ray path and the incoherence effects due to scattering of waves by local heterogeneities, the seismic rupture mechanism and, in near fields, the source directivity.
