Competencies of Managers, as Part of the Intellectual Capital in Industrial Enterprises

摘要
Intellectual capital is one of the most important forms of capital, which is still an unappreciated factor in the success of the organization and a source of competitiveness. Intellectual capital covers all the knowledge assets of the enterprise (Hornak, Sefcikova 2006). An important and indispensable part of the intellectual capital is human capital, which is a necessary factor for the existence of an organization and for the enterprise's functioning. Knowledge, skills, experiences and the loyalty of employees to the organization, such as competencies, are the greatest capital of the organization, and that's the reason for the increasing role and function of the competency approach as an effort to develop intellectual capital. Within intellectual capital it is necessary to address the quality of current or future employees also (in sustainable development strategy of industrial enterprise), respectively of competencies, which employees have. Competencies of potential candidates may be selection criterias for job position. The main aim of the article is to point out the importance of personnel selection and suitability application Multi-Criteria Decision Making method, specifically Analytic Hierarchy Process in the personnel selection. Selecting personnel is an important issue, yet often difficult task. It is complicated because of more than one criteria. This article considers a real application of personnel selection using the opinion of experts by one of the group decision making models, it is called AHP method. The effort of a system approach for evaluating competencies in each process creates assumption for the application of multi-criteria evaluation of options methods. The principle of Analytic Hierarchy Process uses the Expert choice software. The article points out potential applications of the AHP method in the evaluation of competencies area and competency profile area of managers in industrial enterprises. This tool can ensure the transparency of the selection process and the desired quality of human capital.
