Emission Enhancement of Perylene-Bisimide-Based Organogel Triggered by Ultrasound

摘要
Design of mechanostress controlled luminescence in supramolecular gel is still a challenge. Herein, the molecular gelators PBI1 and PBI2 based on perylene bisimide (PBI) chromophores are prepared and characterized. With additional non-covalent hydrogen bonding interactions between acid and imidazole units, stable gelator PBI2 self-assembles into entangled supramolecular fibers that forms fluorescent-enhancement gels triggered by ultrasound in DMSO. Moreover, the structure variation and gelation approaches on the gel properties are also contrasted and studied with several experiments.
