Studies of γγ→p(p)over-bar production at Belle

The production of p (p) over bar pairs from two-photon collisions has been studied by 89 f b(-1) data collected at Belle. The cross sections and the angular differential cross sections for gammagamma --> p (p) over bar have been measured in the two-photon c.m. energy from 2 to 4 GeV. In comparison with previous measurements, the Belle preliminary results have achieved a great improvement in statistics. The theoretical predictions, including the pure quark and diquark models, are compared with the data at medium or higher energies.
