Usually scientists gain the dynamic characteristics of the bullet whenthen design the burst point and so on according to the test results. In this paper, a simplified mechanical model of a kind of test bullet is built; the propagation of the stress wave inside the bullet is analyzed by the stress wave theory. Thanks to the above analysis, we find that the reflection of the stress wave on the surfaces of the different mediums in the bullet makes the acceleration signal to be superposed with high frequency one, and the experiment data of the test bullet validate the result of the theoretical analysis.
