摘要：
Zhou Zhuang, "China's First Watery Town", has witnessed 20 years' tourism development since official opening in 1989. Owing to unique watery feature, Zhou Zhuang has reached the matured period for tourism development. However, it faces the danger of deterioration due to the homogeneity of tourism products, destruction of tourism resources and environment, and over-commercialization. With the coming of leisure tourism trend, Zhou Zhuang needs to catch the market trend and update traditional marketing strategies by repositioning its tourism function from sight-seeing to leisure-enjoying, recreating tourism products, establishing government-dominated strategy, and carrying out scientific planning.
