摘要
A method improved by NEUMANN (1999) for the quantitative analysis of poultry haemoglobin following conversion to porphyrin is described. The specimen materials used were shaken blood and heparinised blood of broiler as well as crystalline pigeon haemoglobin. The studies included the examination of these specimen materials for their suitability for this method, the conversion of defined haemoglobin solutions (native and crystalline haemoglobins) to porphyrins, and their spectrophotometric analysis. The loss of haemoglobin in the process of ultrafiltration through a Millipore filter was determined and used to calculate a correction value. The regression equation derived on the grounds of the results enabled an unknown haemoglobin concentration to be calculated from a measured extinction.
