Magnetic Behaviour of the Orthochromite La0.5Gd0.5Mn0.5Cr0.5O3

摘要
Magnetic behaviour of the perovskite La0.5Gd0.5Mn0.5Cr0.5O3 has been studied. Temperature dependence of magnetization shows a canted antiferromagnetic behaviour with a large magnetic irreversibility between M-ZFC and M-FC. The ZFC peak shifts towards lower temperature with the increase in field. In the field dependence of magnetization below T-N, a small hysteresis is observed with the magnetic anisotropy continuously increasing with lowering of temperature. These observations together with no shift in ac susceptibility peak with frequency are indicative of sample being an anisotropic antiferromagnet.
