摘要：
The title compound, C14H11N3, was synthesized by the reaction of phenylhydrazine and 4-formylbenzonitrile. The molecule adopts an E configuration with respect to the N=N bond. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 13.56 (15)degrees. In the crystal structure, intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds form one-dimensional chains along the b axis.
