摘要
Tourism enterprises must carefully plan their investments. The reason is saturated competitive environment, slow recovery and the need to link investment and market requirements. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the selected investments in hotels in Slovakia using dynamic evaluation methods of investment. We chose four dynamic evaluation methods of investment: the net present value, internal rate of return, profitability index and discounted payback period. There was also analyzed which competitiveness factors consider the experts as crucial. By using mathematical methods, it was calculated the relative impact of the investments on the competitiveness of the hotel. The result of the research is the evaluation of one successful and one unsuccessful investment in view of their effects on selected competitiveness factors of hotel product, paper also includes revenue forecast.
