摘要
Data on the oxygen consumption rate in 5 adult Hemiptera, 24 Lepidoptera, and 6 Hymenoptera species, as well as on the temperature dependence of oxygen consumption by the leaf-footed bug Leptoglossus phyllopus, are obtained. The obtained and published data suggest an exponential temperature dependence of respiration with k = 19.5 and k = 0.083 for 20 Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, and Formicidae species (respiration expressed as a percentage of oxygen consumption rate at 20 degrees). The allometric dependence of the oxygen consumption rate on body weight:ln Hymenoptera has the following indices: a = 2.07 and k = 0.83 (sample number n = 83 and the number of tested species N = 74) in Lepidoptera; a = 4.74 and k = 0.91 (n = 18 and N = 9) in Hymenoptera; and a = 0.90 and k = 0.85 (n = 77 and N = 40) in Formicidae.
