Seed Vigour as Basic Information about Seed Quality

摘要
The suitability to use seed vigor as basic characteristic of seed lot for objective evaluation of real quality of this seed lot was discussed in this article. Possible method, which point to seed vigor from the speed and uniformity of germination and emergence point of view, is germination energy (early germination) in time of first counting of germination by the ISTA rules. Evaluation of this value can be more objective with using of computer image analysis for precise counting of germinated seeds in the future.
