摘要
Using Poisson count data regression model, this article evaluates the location choice made by Chinese multinational firms during 2001-2012, categorizing the firms into state and privately owned according to majority ownership. The results show that the location determinants of internationalization differ based on ownership. While state controlled firms are attracted to natural resource rich countries which may have weak political systems, internationalizing private Chinese firms are more risk averse.
