摘要
The paper presents a research on the image improvement technique using phase information. The main idea is that we can increase the informational content of an image by creating a fusion between the original image and the image which contains only the phase information. Satellite images map a large area and that is why they contain many features and details which sometimes can not be observed easily. The algorithm presented in this paper uses LANDSAT images, it extracts the feature map using phase information and then it performs image fusion between the original image and the feature map. Wavelet Transform is used to calculate the feature map and to perform image fusion because it provides complex features of an image. After conducting the experiment it is found that the result of the fusion process is a better visualization of the image features.
