The Study on the Teaching Mode and Teachers' Role in Network College English Autonomous Learning

The network autonomous English learning mode, which combines the student-centered teaching idea with multimedia based on internet technology, integrates the teaching process with students' learning process and it promotes teachers to produce new creative ideas on teaching, which helps to bring about fundamental changes in the teaching process, and form a new integrated pattern of teachers, students, teaching materials and teaching methods. This paper starts from the basic concept of autonomous learning, puts forward views on how to give full play to the advantages of the network environment and on how to play the new role well on the part of the teacher in computer-aided teaching environment.
