Selection of driving technologies for robotization

摘要
Driving technologies consume the greatest part of hard manual labor at Russian underground mines. A roadheading, drilling-and-blasting tunneling system known as "Siberia", and a set of autonomous machines are analyzed from the stand point of robotization. Non-robotic operations take about a half of the total labor-intensity. Existing and robotics-based driving technologies have been simulated and animated by means of GPSS/H and PROOF Animation. It is found that robotization of autonomous machines can greatly increase efficiency.
