Economic considerations and business models for automotive standard software components

摘要：
Using standard software components in automotive electronic control units has been common practice for a number of years because of its potential advantages. This paper first introduces the standard software architecture of the Volkswagen group and explains some of its components. We then introduce potential business models and criteria that allow to classify these models. Finally, the paper shows a business case for the use of standard software across different car lines.
