摘要
This work uses the Guided-Mode Expansion method to calculate the photonic band structure and the quality factor for a photonic slab comprising a hexagonal lattice of air holes embedded in a semiconducting material. We consider that the dielectric constant of the semiconductor changes with pressure at a fixed temperature. Using the supercell technique, we removed a row of air holes from the slab to obtain a confined waveguide whose frequency increases with pressure. However, the quality factor decreases with the increase in the applied pressure.
