摘要
The adsorption of lubricating oil on oxidized graphite was investigated by batch techniques. The batch results showed, that the adsorption of lubricating oil on oxidized graphite significantly increased with increasing oil content. No effect of salinity at ranging 0.001 to 1.0 mol/L of NaCl indicated that oxidized graphite can be regarded as a suitable adsorbent for lubricating oil cleanup under harsh conditions. The excellent adsorption capacity of oxidized graphite is ascribed to its unique physical properties such as high hydrophobicity, excellent mechanism stability, high porosity and low density. The observation presented herein indicated that the oxidized graphite is a promising candidate for the adsorption of lubricating oil in environmental remediation in oil spillage and chemical leakage accidents.
