This paper proposes a movement searching methodology based on 2-D Images, with variable dimension of rectangular cells. The cell dimension is defined automatically based on a statistical adaptive method, which accounts for previous searching results. The main contribution of the present paper in relation to usual image movement searching methods is the self adapting methodology that reduces significantly the computational work in comparison with fixed-dimension image working cells.
