Raw materials for surface coatings from agricultural wastes

摘要：
The large quantities of agricultural wastes produced in tropical countries during the processing of agricultural produce can form a valuable source of raw materials for the surface coating industry. Such agricultural wastes can be used for the production of resins for varnishes and adhesives, pigments, paint thickeners and driers, dispersing agents, plasticizers and fillers. The nature and properties of the such possible raw materials that could be derived from agriultural wastes of vegetable origin are discussed.
