摘要
The Polytechnic University of Valencia has established 13 transversal competences that must be acquired by our graduates when finishing their corresponding Engineering Degrees. These competences are assessed at least once through the first part of the Degree (2 years) in order to verify their acquisition in a preliminary level. Competence no. 4 (CT04) is Innovation creativity and entrepreneurship. Its preliminary level (domain level I) should give learning results such as questioning reality, identifying improvement needs and contributing ideas to generate added-value to a product. Thus assessing the competence must take into account these learning results. In order to do this some indicators have been considered: Do the students question the reality? Do the students generate innovative ideas? Are they able to communicate these ideas in a formal way? Are they able to identify the results? The control for the acquisition of the preliminary level of this competence is the subject Digital Electronics. It is scheduled in the second year, second semester of the Degree in industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering at the Design Engineering School of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. In order to assess the acquisition of this competence in this subject, a project consisting of a competition with small robotic vehicles has been carried out along the semester. In this paper, we comprehensively analyse the preparation, implementation and results of this proposal, which allows both strengthening the transversal competence and facilitating the evaluation system.
