摘要
With the rapid development of electronic business (e-business) in traditional organizations, business process transformation is necessary for supporting organizational operation in a digital environment. This study develops a method for analyzing business process transformation with e-business adoption in traditional organizations. A three-layer model is proposed. The first layer focuses on e-business adoption; the second layer addresses the factors for business process transformation; the third layer focuses on the evaluation of e-business value. The model is tested with data from 95 enterprises. The analysis suggests that there are significant differences in each aspect because of different levels of e-business adoption. The model will help managers to understand the effect of e-business for transforming business process and bringing out value-creation.
