Kinetics of ozone formation in the gas and liquid phases in a barrier-discharge plasma

A study is undertaken to explore the kinetics of the ozone formation in the gas and liquid phases in the plasma of a barrier discharge excited in the gas (oxygen)-liquid system. It is shown that, at certain parameters of the plasma, the ozone concentrations in the gas and liquid phases become comparable. A model of a plasma chemical reactor is developed, which gives an outline of ozone synthesis. The effective rate constants for ozone decomposition in the gas and liquid phases are calculated (0.062 and 2.13 s(-1), respectively).
