The Experiences of Foreign Investment and Financing of Rural Renewable Energy Infrastructure and their Enlightenment to China

The United States, Germany, France and several other countries have made remarkable achievements in investment and financing of rural renewable energy infrastructure after carrying out effective exploration and reform since the 1970s. China is now in the stage of rapid urbanization, and the lack of funding holds back the attainment of goals of rural renewable energy infrastructure and environmental protection in rural areas. For the purpose of sustainable development and new socialist countryside construction, it is necessary for China to introduce the successful experiences from these countries. On the basis of analyzing the relevant development goals of China and the foreign experiences, this paper proposes their enlightenment to China, such as to complete the policy security system of investment and financing, promote commercial operation, and to introduce diversified modes of financing.
