An acoustic method of determining the number of shoals of fish in a reservoir

摘要
The problem of determining the number and sizes of fish in a reservoir by an acoustic method from the data of radiated and reflected echo signals is considered. It is shown that it is possible to distinguish fish which are close to one another. The relation between the probability of accurately determining the number of fish and the duration of the radiated pulse is obtained.
