摘要
Science teaching still presents several characteristics of traditional teaching, as the teacher is seen as the holder of knowledge while the students are considered passive subjects in the teaching and learning process. This paper aimed to analyze the challenges and alternatives found by teachers when teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Science and/or Biology course units. Data was collected by using the free Google Forms application. The results presented the teachers' difficulties mainly because these professionals had not been adequately trained and because they demonstrated methodologies adapted to use with ASD students based initially on "getting to know" the student to only later apply an appropriate methodology to their learning.
