The Research on the Cultivation of Applied Talents in Higher Education in China

At present, higher education has become a popular education, which leads to a series of problems, such as increased professional convergence, low quality of students, low practical ability of students, relatively weak technical and applied capabilities, so how to properly locate and cultivate qualified talents is an outstanding problem in higher education in China. This paper uses theoretical analysis method and points out that, in addition to cultivate research talents, university should consider more specific local circumstances, highlighting the application-based education to meet the "Mass Higher Education" needs, thereby increasing the quality and efficiency of higher education, better service to economy and society.
