摘要
The emergence of social networks (SN) has generated favorable conditions for the development of new approaches in education. Actually, the use of SN in the educational process has attracted much attention from researchers especially for improving learning outcomes. The goal of this paper is to assess student performance as well as the distance learning experience when considering popular social networks as an e-learning tool. To this aim, a special experiment was carefully designed and conducted to verify the relevance of SN in the learning process. In this experiment, the "Facebook video live" was adopted as the SN tool, and collected data were finely analyzed from different perspectives. Two assessment methods were adopted namely, pre/post knowledge tests and TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) questionnaires. The final outcomes were positive and quite promising. The Facebook video live has presented high satisfaction rates among students and has shown to be an effective tool for learning and teaching strategies.
