摘要
Shaded pole induction motor is one of the simplest and least expensive types of single-phase motors, but one of the most difficult to analyze. In this paper, adopted a two-dimensional finite element method (2DFEM) which is one of the most accurate numerical methods to analyze such motors. Ansys Maxwell2D software use with the assist of AutoCAD software in modeling and analyzing a 65W reluctance-augmented shaded pole motor. The 2DFEM results of losses and efficiency for this motor were compared with the analytical results obtained from MATLAB/Simulink software and appeared a good agreement.
