摘要
The objective of this hermeneutic-interpretative research study was to identify the meanings and practices of women from Bogota with disability related with the recognition and exercise of their rights. Twenty six women participated in two focus groups and eight in-depth individual interviews. The obtained information was analysed making use of Strauss' and Corbin's (2002) Grounded Theory perspective. The results showed that the construction of meanings and practices are mediated by family and societal beliefs, relationships with private and governmental institutions, the ability of the body to control itself and the possibility to access to different contexts, It is important to contribute loan inclusive society in which it is recognised the diversity. At the same time it is important to be aware of the double vulnerability of the woman with disability as a dominant social construction in the culture.
