摘要
The ferrites have wide range of applications world of in the technology due to extraordinary magnetic and electrical properties. We have synthesized zinc-copper ferrite (ZCFO) adoptingexploding wire technique (EWT), a method better than other conventional methods, in terms of yield. The spinel zinc-copper ferrite as major phase has been established by the X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) data. XRD also confirms the formation of Zn in elemental state and traces of hexagonal ZnO. The prepared nano-ferrite is Cu rich, as found by EDX analysis. Theanalysis of Mossbauer spectroscopy further affirms the formation ofnanophasezinc-copper ferrite. The prepared sample shows both ferrimagnetic as well as superparamagnetic characteristics.
