摘要：

In this study, an interactive approach to statistical data mining is formulated. The core of this approach is a set of operators that can be used to examine the data as well as extract knowledge. For efficiency, we build summary tables so that most data mining tasks can be accomplished using only the summary tables. A summary table contains concise statistical information about groups of tuples while the knowledge generation operators facilitate interactive search of different types of knowledge.
