摘要
The doping of Co-Zn ferrites nanopowders with different metal elements has been extensively studied, among which Cr-substituted Co-Zn ferrite nanopowders exhibit excellent magnetic properties. Hence, the phase relationship information of the Co-Cr-Zn system is of great significance for understanding the modification of Co-Cr-Zn nanoferrites. The phase equilibria of the Co-Cr-Zn ternary system at 450 degrees C and 600 degrees C have been systematically investigated using scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy and an x-ray diffractometer. Eight three-phase regions have been experimentally identified in the Co-Cr-Zn ternary system at 450 degrees C, and six three-phase regions in the Co-Cr-Zn ternary system at 600 degrees C. Based on the results obtained in the present work, the maximum solubility of Cr in (alpha Co-f) and (epsilon Co-p) and the maximum solubility of Cr in beta(1) and gamma decreased as the temperature increased from 450 degrees C to 600 degrees C.
