摘要
This paper describes the use of modal analysis in understanding the optical response of a nanoantenna. First of all, the light-nanoantenna problem for a given incident field is formulated by a Volumetric Integral Equation (VIE). Then, standard and non-standard eigenvalue problems for nanoantennas are introduced and numerically implemented within the framework of the Volumetric Method of Moments (V-MoM) algorithm. The standard and non-standard eigenvalues and eigen-functions are extracted for a stripe and a dimer nanostructure, with their effects on the antenna's optical response analyzed.
