摘要
Second Life, a virtual world, represents the latest and most successful frontier of online services for business, learning, training and entertainment. People have virtual lives in these worlds using personal avatars. We believe that the overall experience will be improved. After Second Life launched 5 years ago, it has spread its effects in world's e-learning development. Many institutions, universities and enterprises setup their e-learning spaces in Second Life. For this purpose, this thesis introduces Second Life at first, elaborates some main characters about Second Life and influences of Second Life on e-learning. Based on discussing a few issues about using SL or virtual worlds in e-learning, some suggestions about using SL are proposed in the end.
