摘要：

This study examines the relationship among the following variables: a) the level of violence among young partners, b) several indicators related with the family context (witnessing marital violence, physical punishment. affection, and justice attributed to parents). and c) the preference to some partner's characteristics (attractive. communicative, and able to defend his/her opinions). A sample of 1146 students was surveyed. The results showed significant differences between fathers and mothers on marital behaviour, but not among young partners. The lineal regression analyses reveal the factors that predict violence in young partners.
