Nonlinear vibration analysis of axially moving plates

摘要
The nonlinear vibration characteristics of axially moving plates are investigated in this paper. The nonlinear equations of motion are firstly derived by von Karman nonlinear plate theory. The extended Galerkin method is then employed to discretize the governing equations and the boundary conditions. The incremental harmonic balance (IHB) method is applied to solve the nonlinear equations. The free vibrations, the forced responses of an axially moving plate with internal resonance are studied. Finally the effects of moving speed, stiffness ratio, and aspect ratio of plate are also discussed in detail.
