ERP investment decision process for medium scaled textile mills

ERP solutions are the systems that include all the processes of a mill and supported with the process flows and business discipline. It can be seen that the main reason for the unsuccesfull ERP projects is the problems in the software decision and implementation phases. Therefore, the following questions should be asked before the investment: Does the firm need an ERP solution, If yes, which software will be chosen? Financial and strategic dimensions of the projects connected with various solutions make the subject more complicated. Mostly, this subject is not cared in medium scaled textiles mills. The study described in this paper aims to point the importance of investment decision and software selection process for ERP projects in medium scaled textile mills.
