Numerical investigation of dynamic crack propagation along a bi-material interface

摘要
Using an explicit two-step Godunov type method a numerical simulation of a drop-weight-tower experiment with a bi-material specimen is presented. In order to validate the numerical results the numerically calculated and the measured energy release rate and phase angle of the complex stress intensity factor are compared.
