摘要
Direction of arrival refers to finding the angle at which an incoming signal impinges on a receiver. The purpose of this paper is the implementation of a radio direction-finding system which uses 2 separate receivers instead of an antenna array, as most systems use today. In order to make both receivers use the same clock signal a synchronization mechanism was introduced. However, oscillator from the radio analog front end induces a phase shift into the system which differs in time. The results show that this effect causes each new packet to be received with a different phase shift, making it impossible to perform an accurate angle estimation from packet to packet, as phase information is necessary to all angle estimation techniques we used.
