摘要
The concern with the location estimation techniques has been growing. One of them is a Dead-Reckoning (DR) technique which tracks the position by estimating relative movement. It is possible to estimate the relative movement which consists of distance and direction. We can measure them by several sensors. The attitude of the sensor device for the car navigation systems is comparatively stable. In sharp contrast to the car navigation systems, the attitude of the smartphone held by the pedestrian varies with holding and moving states. In this paper, we propose a new traveling direction estimation method using a smartphone with sensor devices for the DR technique. We show some results of field experiments using our proposed direction estimator.
