摘要
Milling is one of the most widely used metalworking techniques in manufacturing industry. Milling takes 80 % and turning takes 20 % of all the cutting performed in mechanical processing company. The prediction of the factors influencing cutting processes such as temperature, cutting forces and distribution of stresses plays important role in tool geometry selection and optimization of cutting conditions. Research of cutting processes using numerical methods (simulation using FE method or others) allows evaluating such parameters as deformations, stresses, temperature and others which are difficult to determine experimentally and requires large resources both financial and human. Deform - 3D Machining software package was used to make numerical model for specific milling case in order to determine the influence of cutting speed to chip removal process during milling, while processing three different materials, which are especially widely used in mechanical processing company: steel 304, steel grade 45 and Ti-6Al-V4 alloy. The influence of different cutting speed for chip removal is analysed, namely for the temperature generation in the cutting zone and determined the cutting speed influence for burr formation.
