摘要
Accurate design and analysis of shear wails as an efficient element withstanding against earthquake and dynamic lateral forces in high-rise buildings by finite element programs, necessitate modeling shear wall, with many small elements and naturally preparing so much data as an input (especially for pierced shear walls), because if we use FE methods in order to get appropriate accuracy, calculation and determination of the stress distribution around these openings when walls are exposed to dynamic loads, require smaller elements in domain discretization. On the contrary, by considering of this structural member with BEM as another numerical alternative, it is only necessary to discretize boundary as well as other several advantages. In this paper, Dual Reciprocity BEM (DR/BEM) is used for analysis of shear walls (especially pierced shear walls). Through this application several radial basis functions (rbfs) are considered. Then a rbf is proposed which in some cases has more accuracy in responses (free vibration frequencies and displacements of different boundary points) versus conventional rbf which has been proposed by C.A. Brebbia as (l + r) [I]. In order to determine the accuracy, the responses obtained by DR/BEM are compared with solutions obtained by FEM as a benchmark. Eventually the influences of rbf used in DRM the circumstances of the boundary conditions and the frequency of base excitation on free vibration frequencies of shear walls and displacements of various boundary points are studied and some points which are worth are proposed via two examples.
