摘要
A new algorithm for machining features recognition in polyhedrons--Complementary Components Decomposition Method(CCDM) has been developed. It involves using spatial decomposition to recover geometric & topological information of interacting features, graphic decomposition to create subgraph so that the basic solids in the subgraph can form a maximum convex hull and determinant calculation of matrix; representing the attribute face graph to match the maximum convex hull with machining feature templates. This algorithm can avoid computation explosion of basic solids combination in other decomposition methods for machining feautres recognition.
