摘要：
The paper identifies priorities for development of Romania's rural areas, within the current Community programming period, under EAFRD. There was investigated the baseline situation of the human resources and economic activities, substantiated by the analysis of the pre-accession trends of phenomena and processes. The outcome of the research consists in an assessment of the socio-economic situation, pointing out strengths and weaknesses, in terms of driving forces or deficiencies towards sustainable rural development and their translation into political actions and financial support.
