摘要
Around a spur dike, local scouring occurs and it is important to estimate not only the maximum scour depth, but also the bed geometry around it. In this study, local scouring around the dike is simulated using various turbulence and sediment transport models. The standard and non-linear k-epsilon models are employed as the turbulence model, with equilibrium and non-equilibrium sediment transport models. To evaluate the model performance, calculated results are compared with the results of experiments conducted by Michiue and Hinokidani (1992) and the applicability of all the models is assessed by examining the temporal variation of the flow near bed and the bed variation. It is shown that temporal variation of the bed elevation in the initial scouring process and the bed geometry in the equilibrium stage are different, comparing the equilibrium and non-equilibrium sediment transport models.
