People are continually bombarded with information - some of it fact, much of it fiction - about the impact of diet or foods on health. Unfortunately, a public that doesn't know it is being misinformed canned complain, nor can a misled media understand it is being misled unless given evidence to the contrary. Communicating the scientific facts about the benefits to health of dairy products is best served by the delivery of simple, comprehensible messages aimed at health care professionals and consumers. In addition to our web site and campaigns such as Nutrition Month and dental initiatives, we produce advertorials (editorial-style advertisements), brochures, scientific fact sheets, tips sheets on incorporating dairy products into the diet, and support television spots for insertion into local newscasts. A plethora of scientific evidence indicates that milk helps prevent osteoporosis, hypertension, colon cancer, PMS and kidney stones. In addition, many preliminary studies have demonstrated that milk also helps prevent obesity, type II diabetes, and breast and ovarian cancers.
