Realization of sub-wavelength imaging in the THz waveband

摘要
Terahertz (THz) imaging has become a hot research topic because of its wide applications ranging from biomedical science to astronomy. However, its resolution is also limited by the diffraction limit. Surface plasmonic resonance is a well-known technology that can manipulate the electromagnetic wave in the sub-wavelength region. This paper proposes a method based on surface plasmonic resonance to break the diffraction limit in THz waveband, and presents the preliminary experiment results, where sub-wavelength resolution was achieved.
